Job Description

This is an exciting role for a senior business development director in the NOAM region. Based in the Chicago office and reporting to the Revenue Director in London, you will be responsible for defining the NOAM sales strategy and driving revenue from new business sales, cultivating long term strategic partnerships whilst building out the sales team over time. In this role you will be selling directly to senior stakeholders in North America as well as helping to shape ground breaking solutions in programmatic media buying.

You will have overall responsibility for sales, business development and customer onboarding in the region.


  • Identify opportunities, define domestic market strategy and plan to reach key target clients
  • Build and develop you own pipeline of opportunities to close contracts and deliver against revenue targets
  • Cold prospecting to pre-defined, pre-qualified enterprise opportunities
  • Manage long term relationships through to contract close
  • Project manage and develop responses to RFPs
  • Selling at highest stakeholder level possible
  • Strict qualification of business opportunities to meet target client profile
  • Manage inbound RFI and RFP processes through to close
  • Mobilizing wider company teams to deliver winning solutions
  • Plan client resource requirements and utilization with the Revenue Director
  • Consultative selling technique to understand the client’s requirements and develop pitch winning solutions
  • Work with product and tech teams to build solutions and not oversell
  • Oversee the effective on-boarding and handover of new clients together with Business Directors and client teams
  • Senior representative of the company
  • Work with senior client teams to develop and retain client relationships
  • Working with Marketing to develop collateral, create bespoke strategies to deliver effective sales and influence decision makers to get on the pitch list
  • Working with Business development representatives to enhance your pipeline and enable effective contract close
  • Develop an extensive network within your client base to cement long term relationships.
  • You will to build and manage the business development team over time and must be a leader from day one.  We strive for the highest quality output, you must coach the team and lead from example
  • Appropriate use of the company’s senior management to ensure strong client relationships

  • Minimum 5 years of online sales/sales management experience, with a proven track record in meeting and exceeding sales goals, delivering significant revenue and customer growth.
  • Ability to engage and maintain relationships with stakeholders at the highest level
  • Willingness to prospect, cold call and network
  • Independent self-starter with a motivated professional attitude with willingness to work autonomously
  • A natural leader
  • Deep understanding of ad tech ecosystem
  • Deliver effective revenue reporting and pipeline reports, maintain documentation on opportunities
  • Ability to sell consultatively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Manage pitch teams to deliver winning solutions
  • Contacts with existing marketing decision makers in the region is a must
  • Experience in selling digital media, display, ad tech, agency or programmatic media buying solutions
