CIMA'S MISSION

CIMA offers its members the opportunity to network with fellow marketers, agencies and vendors while sharing best practices and learning about the latest industry developments.

This application is to become a Board Member and a vital component of the CIMA organization.

  • Board members have the responsibility of donating their time to make CIMA a success.
  • Board members help the board and volunteer groups execute plans and strategies for CIMA events and undertakings.
  • Board members are required to attend monthly Board meetings and contribute time and effort to further the success of the CIMA organization.
  • The Board is responsible for reviewing and approving the organization's strategic plans.
  • The Board oversees financial integrity and monitors performance against achievement of strategy and long-term vision.

Directors will serve a 1-year term with the opportunity to renew terms without any term limits.

Directors may serve on at least one major committee while on the Board of Directors and must be willing to serve on other committees or task forces when requested by the Board.

QUALIFICATIONS

A nominee for CIMA Director must:

  • be a current registered CIMA member
  • have attended at least 1 educational event and 1 social event during the previous year
  • have committed volunteer time to the organization through a committee during the previous year
  • have a significant amount of their business relationships within the Chicago market
  • have professional and leadership experience in one or more of the following:
    • interactive marketing
    • interactive advertising

SELECTION PROCESS

The desired skills and experiences listed below will be utilized by the CIMA Executive Committee to assist with the selection of candidates to be nominated for the 2010-2011 CIMA Board of Directors ballot to be voted on at the January 2010 Board Meeting.
